Learn to dive with a smile on our Open Water Course 😉. Indeed, this will be your first step into the deep blue on our most popular scuba course! Further, the scuba course covers all the basic knowledge about equipment, physiology and the marine environment. Furthermore, this course gives students the necessary skills to conduct open-water dives safely. Importantly, you will be able to dive into conditions similar to your training without the direct supervision of an instructor.

Over the next three days, you will become an Open Water Diver. Once completed, you will qualify internationally to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres.

Above all, this will be an adventure that you weren’t expecting. Have you ever wondered what happens beneath the surface while sitting on the banks? Indeed, there is a new world to be explored. Further, all equipment is replaced every couple of years and is of the highest standard. Finally, once you’re certified, travelling overseas allows yet another adventure to be had. That should convince you, so let’s slip into our wetsuits and take the plunge together.

Finally, we believe the key to learning is to have a smile.

• Notably, the Open Water Course begins with a pre-course introduction. It will be conducted either by phone or email. Notably, you complete the theory during your own time before coming to the course.
• Firstly, day one of the course is the confined scuba dive, which begins at 8:00 am and finishes at 2:00 pm at Morningside. You will learn all the necessary skills to complete the Open Water Scuba Course on this day.
• Secondly, on days two and three, when high tide is slack in the ocean. Here, you will demonstrate the skills learnt at the pool while enjoying diving into the sea for the first time.
• Importantly, if you are interested in diving with the turtles at Cook Island or manta rays off Stradbroke Island, there will be an opportunity to upgrade on the third day.
• Finally, further details will be provided for the interested student on the Advanced Course.

This particular version of the open water course provides the diver with a more Brisbane-based course. Importantly, it will be taught over Saturday and Sunday and sliding into Monday. With a course size of 4, it provides a very personal and detailed beginners’ course. Excitingly, the boat dives will be tailored for the beginner, with the third dive at the protected and calm waters of Shag Rock and the reward dive at either Manta Bommie or Flat Rock.
