RESCUE DIVER COURSE

Rescue Course $550

Rescue Diver Course Dates

  • Course Dates

    🛟 31st August-1st September 🚑

The Rescue Diver Course will develop your knowledge and skills to perform a rescue, assist, and administer first aid effectively. After course completion, I will train you to rescue your buddy from danger or recognise their stress signals so you can act accordingly. Notably, the Rescue Diver Course is the final step to becoming a Divemaster or professional diving instructor. Although the Rescue Diver course is demanding, it will most likely be your most rewarding diving course. Notably, the course is internationally recognised. Indeed, most divers say this course has been their favourite scuba course. It certainly is my favourite course to teach. 🏥

Are you ready?

How is the Rescue Course structured?

Over the two-day course, I will deliver the Rescue Diver Course. We will cover all the rescue skills, including self-rescue and locating a missing or unconscious diver. Further, the study also covers how to bring an unconscious diver to the surface, how a stressed diver acts, and what we could prevent.

On the first day, we will visit the local pool. The first day includes a repertoire of skills and techniques for your second day in the open water. We will revisit the surface skills you learned in your Open Water Course. We will practice the skills needed to keep us safe from diving. Next, we practiced the techniques to rescue a stressed or panicked diver.

After that, the second day in the open water. Here, we will practice mock rescue scenarios. You and your team will utilise the skills learnt at the pool to save a distressed or unconscious diver.

Have you considered?

Can you get your knife out quickly with one hand? Indeed, carrying a backup mask is a great idea, but can you get it out of your pocket without a mask? However, backup masks often fog up, adding to the stress. What about your DSMB? Most divers can’t deploy their primary DSMB at the best times, let alone under pressure. Notably, a simple task can quickly turn your dive and dive buddy into a dangerous position.

Rescue Diver Course Testimony

I recently did the rescue diver course with Shane.
All in all I think a rescue diver course is one of the most valuable courses to do as a diver. You become a much safer diver as a result.
Shane takes this to a whole other level and provides a tonne of value at a very reasonable cost. It’s very personal due to the smaller course size which is a massive bonus.
I’m confident that I’m not only a safer diver for myself but also for those that I dive with as a result of doing this course with Shane.
This is my second course with Shane, having done Nitrox with him as well. I can not rate Shane highly enough his attention to detail, but casual teaching creates an easy environment to learn, yet ensures that you learn and practice the right way.
